So today Wendi tried making a soup in a whole pumpkin .....it was a porcelain pumpkin whuch is much meatier than a regular pumpkin....she cleaned it out of its seeds and stringy stuff....filled with chicken stock....rice...onions..garlic...cheddar cheese and herbs.....put the cover back on the pumpkin and roasted in the oven for a few hours .....as the sides of the pumpkin got cooked they fell into the soup mixture...last half hour she scraped the inner sides into the soup mixture
really came out good....
with a bacon and jalapeño corn bread
banana cream merengue pie for dessert
