Jean Claude Dufour is one incredible chef and his attentive staff serves with charm and gusto. The newly reopened apres vacation restaurant was well lit and welcoming. We were seated at a garden table that allowed us to enjoy great breezes and one mini rain shower!

We were sent two terrific amusees. The first was a thin and buttery foie gras slice with chopped olives and a bread crisp.

Then came a cup of chilled asparagus soup with a crispy bread crumble on top alongside a wonderful chunk of mahi mahi tatake over slaw.

The fois gras was the BEST ever! It was seared to perfection and came with litchee nuts, ****ake mushrooms, sliced asparagus spears and toast crisps.
The mixed green salad held many garden delights.
The foie gras with olive terrine and toast.
And the crab salad with citrus vinaigrette.

What a great looking meal and a delightful spot for a birthday celebration. Um, could you please ask that they remain open during the first week in July 2015 so that we can enjoy the wonderful experience? ;)

Belated Happy Birthday, Phil!!! We will add L'Esprit to our " must do" list for next year! Looks like every course was a winner!
