Ah, 1964, that was a year . . .

Heading back to the heartlands of Ohio for my 50th high school reunion. Only 41 in the class and even fewer now. The dinner is $27 at the local hotel and the Friday night welcoming is going to be held at the Life Celebration Center of the local funeral home. Saturday there is golf outing and a tour of the old school (1-12, no K) in the afternoon. A pall was cast over the event by the death of a classmate's husband and her terrible injuries in a MVA. There was talk of postponement, but the Ohio spirt to continue overcame and we are going to visit dear Nancy at the hospital during the weekend. We found a few items for the program -- our yearbook in digital form, The American Experience 1964 in video --

and other physical memorabilia. So much happened in that year of which we were unaware.

I believe that 1964 was a banner year for quite a few of our online peeps...the year they were born!
