SBH Insider
Wow! The fantastic weather continues. It's been a little warmer the last two days but still amazing breezes constantly. This is our 12th trip and while the weather has always been good, this has been hands down, the best. The most amazing thing so far? My daughters playing nicely together! I know all siblings fight but these two take it to a whole other level. Ordinarily they will kill each other over a paper clip. I mean it doesn't take much to set off WW 3! It's just constant! This week? Now I'm not saying there haven't been any skirmishes but overall, I have never seen them get along so nicely. They have really been acting like best friends together which has been great to see. They always play that way with their friends so it's nice to see them like that with each other. Hopefully some of that continues at home. Another amazing situation? Before this trip, they could both swim but more floating and swimming underwater than true swimming. Well, yesterday they set up a little swimming challenge with us and they are swimming freestyle, backstroke, diving, backflips. I'm like, where in the world did you learn how to do the backstroke? One week in st Bart's and they're like dolphins. Anyway, since we last spoke, had a great meal at Le Repaire. Everyone really enjoyed it which is unusual for this crew. That's usually always on our list and they never disappoint. Sunday afternoon at Nikki was pretty crazy. I have never seen it so crowded though I'm sure it's always like that in season. I always like my food there. This time was no different. The mahi mahi dish was outstanding as was the bruschetta and lobster roll. For dessert, love their cheese cake and tira missou(can't spell it). World Cup fever was in full display though for us we would rather hear music than the soccer game. Had the privilege of seeing BBT there as well. All in all a great day. Sunday night we had to go back to Santa Fe for that amazing foie gras dish. They will be closed in August when we return and once was definitely not enough. Went with just the wife and kids for the first time on st Bart's so that was nice. The rest of the crew stayed back at the villa. Dinner was amazing as always and we ran into BBT again so that was a bonus. Also got to see food porn stars Phil and Amy as an added bonus. Monday we went back to Nikki for another nice day on the beach. The setup makes it very easy for the kids to go back and forth to the water. Wouldn't naturally think of Nikki as kid friendly but it really is with kids menu prices of 10 euro. Monday night, fireworks in Gustavia, short but very nice, and a great meal at L'Entracte. You know the weather is great when you don't sweat in that place. Oh, I almost forgot the reason for the title of the post. My little one, 8 yrs old, has yet to wear a bathing suit top here. She's just prancing around all over like nothing is different. I guess she takes after her dad. I'm usually at the far ends of Saline and Governeur, if you know what I mean, so I really can't say anything. Just hope she doesn't plan to continue the practice at home. Well it's our last full day here so, time for a dip in the pool.

Loved this report and happy the girls have figured out they can be friends as well as sisters.

Enjoy your final events and glad we got to see you all up in Lurin the other night.

This post has a very misleading title , but you make up for it with these hilarious lines!

It is great to hear about the consistency of the SBH eateries in all seasons. That is not always true in other resort areas. Love reading your report! Thank you

Fun report. Thanks! We enjoyed seeing you on the plane once again the start of the trip. Hope your return flight was smooth and uneventful!

Nice report. I don't know how old your daughters are now, but they will probably go through a rough patch in middle school/high school. But once my daughters got through that stage, in college, and now in their twenties, they are great friends! So much fun when the three of us get together (as well as extended family get togethers), or when I hear about the two of them going out together! They are begging us to bring them to St. Bart's. We told them when they can afford their own airfare, we will pay for the villa. Glad your girls are having fun on island already!
