Villa Decision

Another villa post!!! I have been talking to owner of Villa les Jardins d'Emmanuel and Villa Nita. Like I have said before, this trip will be 10 nights, October 13-23, for my honeymoon. Can anyone give some insight as how to choose between the two??? Both owners have been very helpful and I know Rosita is very well known and respected on this forum. Thank you.

Kenneth

Upfront disclosure - I'm a regular renter of Les Jardins d'Emmanuel. (So are many others here.)

Both are beautiful. Both have great views. You'll not go wrong with either one. Rosita is a most gracious and helpful villa owner, and the Rosita Treatment is not to be missed.

I would rent either villa gladly. I drove to NITA last week to check out the location for a future trip because EMM was not available. EMM is directly over the water, NITA is not. EMM definitely has the better view and location. If both villas are available for your dates, I would definitely go with EMM. I have met both villa owners and both are very reputable.

Those are great dates to travel. My wife and I and the twins will be at Rosita's villa on the beach for most of those days. We've known Rosita for quite a while and look forward to staying at one of her places for the first time.

If our trip was just my wife and I, EMM probably would have been our first choice. It is both convenient and secluded. It is on the road between St. Jean and Lorient but the positioning of the property and the pool and gardens give you real seclusion. The views looking out over St. Jean are really beautiful and far better than most views higher in the hills.

Since we've got the kids, walking to the beach is the priority, which is why we are going with Les Basses though.

We love Rosita and EMM. EMM is our December villa. Ultra private, very spacious, great views, indoor and outdoor living, well appointed, excellent bed and linens, and fabulous owner.

Hi Gayle-well said and I agree with you-EMM is our July villa. Also so well located for short drives to restaurants and beaches and shopping.

EMM has so many devoted "regulars" that it's a challenge to find available dates. I assume this will also be the case for BAS.

Prior renters get the choice for the following year. Rosita's villas as so popular that in the event that I have a radical change in my schedule (there is a possibility that a trial for a client may impact our trip) I still intend to write the check for the week in question this year just to get it for next year. So if you can book, do it.

Wow! So much support for Rosita and EMM, it is going to be hard not to go with her. One last chance for Villa Nita? I believe Villa Nita is fairly new, so maybe not that many have stayed their yet. Thank you for all the replies.

Kenneth- You can't go wrong with Rosita and EMM. I've visited (not stayed) EMM numerous times. It's a wonderful choice, and Rosita is the best connection you can have, while there.
Nita looks great, too... The one thing I noticed was this note on their website: "Special Note: Third bedroom will be completed and available starting December 2013." I don't know if construction/building supplies would have any effect on your stay, but I'd suggest you inquire if it's on your list.

One, but only one, of the sites where I saw Villa Nita listed mentioned a $1000 security deposit. While security deposits aren't unheard of on SBH, they are rare. If you choose Nita, and a security deposit is requested, then try to negotiate that out - or rent through a different channel.

One more for EMM. I have been to countless parties there and I would stay there in a second if I didn't stay in our regular place.

Rosita advised my wife and I to stay at NITA in march when she was booked up. The villa was great and we look forward to staying there in the future......

Thanks to everyone!!!

I am really new on this market and you are all right Rosita is a really great person. She really does help me a lot....so thank you also Rosita

:)
