Renting private villas is a very popular option on St. Barts, and there are hundreds of villas to choose from. This selection of St Barts villas are available for rent directly from the owners. They span all areas of the island, and range from one bedroom cottages to seven bedroom compounds. If you choose this route rather than renting through a villa rental agency, ask other SBHonline forum members for villa references, and ask for a written contract outlining all the terms and conditions. St Barth's has a mandatory 5% tourism tax, confirm with the owner that this tax is included in the rental price.

Be sure to look at all of the villas. Many of the villas owners offer discounts for SBHonline members. Almost every villa offers a "per-bedroom" rate. So you can often find great weekly rates even in the larger villas.
