About SBH Online:
Bob & Kara Brooks launched this website in October of 2002 as the culmination of their years long love affair with St Barts.
Like many others, spending a few weeks a year on the island just wasnÕt enough. They wanted to commune with the island all year.
In creating www.sbhonline.com , and the member forums, they created a home away from home for St Barts devotees around the world.
In 2003, The Brooks wrote Paradise Found: The people, restaurants and recipes of St. Barthˇlemy. Paradise Found tells the stories of
eighteen of the most popular restaurants on St. Barts complete with recipes from each. The hardcover book contains over 140 color photos
and 18 dinner menus featuring over 70 St. Barths recipes.
Their love of fine cuisine, with a French flavor, culminated in the opening of the Still River Cafe in Eastford, Ct in 2006.
There they host fans of St Barts throughout the year, except for the 6 weeks they close each winter so they can escape the cold
and bask in the warm embrace of St Barts.
In 2008 the Brooks decided to sell the website so they could focus full-time on their restaurant. They chose to sell to
St Barts villa rental pioneer WIMCO, West Indies Management Company who are committed to maintaining the forums as a vibrant,
independent online community.
As part of the transition the Brooks arranged for two long-time forum contributors - Tim and JEK - to take over as Forum Moderators in 2008.
The new moderators will help to insure that the spirit of friendly, independent dialog continues.
We all hope that you enjoy the website, the forums and your virtual vacation to St. Barts. The site is supported by advertising from
